Essie Never Again!

Essie Little Brown Dress...I heard about this color from a few different internet blogs...dark brown...perfect for fall...wonderful with everything.
No local store had it...but it was found on the internet.
I impatiently waited TEN days for it to arrive, as it was shipped ground.
Base coat, two coats, and my super-duper CND glossy cover coat.
The color is awesome...think dark, deep lucious chocolate...the kind that is 92% cacao...that type of dark chocolate...borderline black but still brown.
But...
It chipped...WITHIN FOUR HOURS OF HAVING MY NAILS DONE.
Repaired the nail...it chipped again the next day...and is continuing to chip.
It's got to be the Essie polish, as both the base and top coats used are traditionally what I use every time I get my nails done.
No more Essie for me...which is sad, as this is a beautiful color...

She Took It All!

The dearest daughter is home from Purdue for Spring Break.

Her room looks like a clothes bomb exploded...and the bed hasn't been made during the past week.

We've been to the grocery store three times in the past week for fresh veggies and fruit that she can't get back at school.

My washer and dryer are very tired from doing all the laundry she brought from school.

And extra things are in her bag that I bought from Modcloth a few months back...

The fun straw cloche...mine has a dark chocolate ribbon and works perfectly through those Spring and Summer months. She will wear it on those bad hair days...

And the beautiful black pumps I just got....now I'll never get a chance to wear them. They will definitely have more fun on her feet...all the school parties and boys to meet.

I've been told they will have a wonderful life in Indiana...but I'm curious...how many other Moms out there have their daughters raid their closets before they go back to school?

It Comes In Different Colors!

I'm just shocked...masking tape in georgous colors...PLUS IT HAS DOTS! Who would have thought? I never would have even dreamed...
Duct tape solves all problems...and it now comes in many colors besides gray....white (works well for walls), pink, blue and lime green.  But never soft, beautiful colors like these...AND DOTS!

But I didn't see these until after I had ordered...aren't they just too cute?  But I'd be afraid to use them at work...someone might keep them!

Color of the Week - OPI Too Hot Pink to Handle

It's Sunday...and the dogs and I are enjoying the peace and quiet.  Jay has been in the Wine Country the last few days, with Momma visiting yesterday.
May I present OPI's Too Hot Pink to Handle:

I thought at first this was a pink, but it's almost a red once applied...along the line of OPI's French Tulips but more depth of color...not so bright.  Three coats along with a top coat of CND clear...glorious, glossy nails! This color will definitely do well for spring!

Second Tuesday of the Month

Second Tuesday of each month...it's the day we all look forward to...a day we all have lunch together...and enjoy each other's company.

We leave promptly at 12:30PM...but the day really starts in the morning.
Are you still going today?
What is your schedule like? Can we leave any earlier?
Can we eat lunch out or does anyone need to come back?
Is anyone else coming with us today?
How many cars are we taking?
Do you know what you're going to get?
What are the specials this month?

I know it might seem a little backwards to you, but we start at SusieCakes Bakery in Newport Beach.  Decisions, decisions, decisions. No one comes back emptyhanded. This month I came back with a Snickerdoodle cookie and a lemon cupcake...the cookie for me and the cupcake for Tanya.

After leaving SusieCakes, we head across the street to Chronic Tacos....

Are any more words needed? SusieCakes and Chronic Tacos within an hour...what could be better?
